The Westwood neighborhood is proud that we have engaged neighbors who show their commitment to the community.
Yard beautification is an important part of that commitment.

Westwood Updates
Westwood Sign: The Westwood’s southern planter and sign on Stella Link has been taken down to make way for a left turn lane going into the new 169-unit Willowbend Pointe being built on the NE corner of Willowbend and Stella Link. Sadly, the sign no longer met City of Houston code and needed to be re-designed. The Architectural Committee members Adan Gonzales and Jon Jenkins are working on a new design. To meet City code, the sign will be approximately ______ x ______ x _____. The developers of Willowbend Pointe were originally paying to relocate the existing sign with a new planter. Unfortunately, the existing sign was too large to meet the new requirement for a Major Thoroughfare, so we we are forced to install a new, smaller sign. Willowbend Pointe awaits pricing information from the Westwood Civic Club for a new sign. We are hopeful they will assist in the cost for the new sign. There is no current target date to build the new planter or to install the sign. Westwood is a vibrant neighborhood that bring our residents together through community involvement. The Westwood Esplanade Committee organizes beautification events to improve the esplanade. Yearly mulching of trees on the esplanade and regular events to work on the planters planned. List upcoming events: •Esplanade Beautification – Every 1st Saturday at 8:00 meets at the north planter on Stella Link. •General meeting – Thursday, Sept ____ begins at 7:00 p.m. at Corpus Christi’s Prefontaine Hall. •National Night Out – August _____ begins at 7:00 at __________ Park. Hotdogs, burgers, water and soft drinks provided. Bring your favorite side dish or desert!
