Bellfort Park Apartments

The latest news on the Bellfort Park Apartments is not so good. They don’t really believe they have a chance of getting funding from the state. The alternatives are getting funding from the City of Houston for the rebuilding, get funding from the city and tear down the complex and move the rental subsidy to a new location(a new rule established by HUD allows this). The last plan would include tearing down the existing buildings and selling the vacant property

. All of this will be determined when the deadline on state funding is up at the end of July.
